The core draw is its main beach, a half-kilometre stretch of soft sand in a bay framed by two rocky headlands, with calm, shallow water that suits families. Around it you'll find the Club Nàutic marina, waterfront restaurants and a walkable centre. Golfers head to the Santa Ponsa courses, which have hosted European Tour events. Nightlife exists — bars and music around Ramon de Montcada street — but it's tamer than nearby Magaluf, keeping the tone family-friendly. Late spring through early autumn is best for beach days; shoulder months are milder and quieter. The resort is compact and walkable, but a hire car helps for reaching neighbouring coves, Palma and inland Mallorca.
