When is the best time to visit Brazil?
Brazil is a year-round destination, but the seasons flip from the northern hemisphere. Roughly May to September is the drier, cooler window across much of the country and the easier time for the Amazon and Iguacu. December to March is peak summer, warmest for the beaches and the season of Carnival, though also the busiest and priciest. Because Brazil is so large, it is worth checking conditions for your specific region before you plan.
Which parts of Brazil are best for a beach holiday?
The northeast is the classic beach choice, with warm water much of the year around Bahia, Porto de Galinhas and the coast near Natal and Fortaleza. Rio de Janeiro combines city life with famous urban beaches, and Florianopolis in the south is a favourite for surfers and summer visitors. Do I need to see both sides of Iguacu Falls?

A rental in Manaus or another gateway can serve as a comfortable base before and after a guided jungle stay. The drier season generally makes trails and wildlife spotting more accessible.
