Rates checked in September 2026. Under its single-fee structure, Airbnb charges most hosts 15.5%; Airbnb says other hosts typically pay between 14% and 16%. Exceptions depend on country and account type. Booking.com sets the commission rate in each accommodation agreement, and visibility programmes may increase it. This worked example uses a possible range of 15% to 25%. If Booking.com facilitates payment, the applicable payment terms and transaction cost are contract-specific. Our 3.9% cost contribution is included in the displayed total and contributes towards Stripe payment fees and refunds. BookNoFees earns nothing from it. Nothing is added at checkout and nothing is deducted from the owner. Fee models can change, so please check each platform’s current terms. About Krabi

Staying in Krabi

Krabi is the province on Thailand's Andaman coast where jungle-topped limestone karsts rise straight out of turquoise water, both on land and as scattered offshore islands. It is calmer and less built-up than neighbouring Phuket, yet it is the natural launch pad for some of the region's most famous escapes. Most visitors base themselves along the palm-fringed sweep of Ao Nang, the main beach town, then hop by longtail boat to cliff-ringed Railay and its backpacker sibling Tonsai, both cut off from the road network and reachable only by sea. From Ao Nang and Krabi Town, ferries and speedboats fan out to Koh Phi Phi, Koh Lanta and the shallow lagoons of the Hong Islands. Days are spent kayaking through hidden lagoons, snorkelling the Four Islands, climbing bolted cliff routes at Railay, soaking in natural hot springs or swimming in the Emerald Pool inland. It is a place that rewards slow travel: settle into a villa or bungalow, learn a stretch of coast, and let the boats do the rest.

Good to know

Vacation rentals in Krabi — FAQ

When is the best time to visit Krabi?

The dry, sunny season runs roughly from November to April and brings the calmest seas for island trips — this is peak season. The green months from around May to October are wetter and quieter, with lower prices and lush scenery, though some boat services run less often. Confirm current conditions and ferry schedules locally before you travel.

How do I get to Railay Beach?

Railay has no road access because limestone cliffs seal it off from the mainland. You reach it by longtail boat, most commonly from Ao Nang or from Krabi Town's Ao Nammao pier; the crossing is short. Boats typically leave once enough passengers gather, so build in a little flexibility around tides and daylight.

Do I need a car to get around Krabi?

Not usually. Shared songthaew pick-up trucks link Ao Nang, Krabi Town and the airport, longtail boats and ferries handle the islands, and many travellers rent a scooter for inland trips. A car helps mainly if you want to explore hot springs and waterfalls at your own pace. Ask your host what works best for your base.

What does booking direct on BookNoFees mean?

You can message the host before booking. For a booking request, Stripe first places a card hold for the full amount; the host has 48 hours to accept, and only then is the amount captured. Instant Book is charged immediately after Stripe confirms payment. Do not transfer the booking amount directly to the host. The displayed total already includes the 3.9% cost contribution for Stripe payment fees and refunds.

Is booking a Krabi stay through BookNoFees cheaper than the big platforms?

BookNoFees deducts no commission from the amount set by the host. The displayed total includes a 3.9% cost contribution for Stripe payment fees and refunds, and BookNoFees earns nothing from it. Nothing is added at checkout.

Can I message the host before I book?

Yes. You can message the host through BookNoFees before booking to ask about the property, arrival and local details. If the booking is accepted, payment is completed securely through the BookNoFees checkout and Stripe.
