Rates checked in September 2026. Under its single-fee structure, Airbnb charges most hosts 15.5%; Airbnb says other hosts typically pay between 14% and 16%. Exceptions depend on country and account type. Booking.com sets the commission rate in each accommodation agreement, and visibility programmes may increase it. This worked example uses a possible range of 15% to 25%. If Booking.com facilitates payment, the applicable payment terms and transaction cost are contract-specific. Our 3.9% cost contribution is included in the displayed total and contributes towards Stripe payment fees and refunds. BookNoFees earns nothing from it. Nothing is added at checkout and nothing is deducted from the owner. Fee models can change, so please check each platform’s current terms. About Seychelles

Staying in Seychelles

The Seychelles is an archipelago of 115 islands scattered roughly 1,500 kilometres east of the African mainland, sitting on an ancient block of granite that gives the inner islands their signature look: smooth boulders spilling into turquoise shallows, framed by takamaka trees and powder-white sand. Most journeys begin on Mahé, the largest island and home to the capital, Victoria, where a working harbour, a covered market and forested peaks sit within easy reach of Beau Vallon's long swimming beach. A short ferry hop north lies Praslin, wrapped around the Vallée de Mai, a UNESCO-listed palm forest that shelters the endemic coco de mer. Nearby, the curving bay of Anse Lazio ranks among the most photographed shores on earth. Smaller La Digue moves at ox-cart and bicycle pace, and its Anse Source d'Argent — a maze of pink granite and shallow tidal pools — is the image many travellers picture when they think of these islands. With warm water year-round, world-class snorkelling and quiet couples' villas, the Seychelles has long been a byword for the honeymoon escape, yet its nature reserves and hiking trails reward slower, curious stays too.

Good to know

Vacation rentals in Seychelles — FAQ

When is the best time to visit the Seychelles?

The islands are warm all year, with sea temperatures that stay comfortable in every season. Travellers often prefer the calmer, drier spells around the changeover of the southeast and northwest trade winds — roughly April to May and October to November — when the water tends to be clear for snorkelling. Conditions vary by island and beach, so it is worth checking current forecasts close to your travel dates.

How do I get between Mahé, Praslin and La Digue?

Scheduled passenger ferries connect Mahé with Praslin, and Praslin with La Digue, and there are also short domestic flights between Mahé and Praslin. Many visitors island-hop by combining a ferry crossing with a stay of a few nights on each island. Confirm current timetables and book crossings ahead in peak periods, as sailings can fill up.

What is there to do beyond the beaches?

Plenty. Praslin's Vallée de Mai is a UNESCO World Heritage palm forest, Mahé has hiking trails through Morne Seychellois National Park, and several small islands are protected reserves where you can see giant tortoises and seabird colonies. Snorkelling and diving around the granite islands and marine parks are a highlight, and Victoria offers a market, botanical garden and Creole cuisine.

Is the Seychelles good for a honeymoon?

It is one of the classic honeymoon destinations, known for private villas, secluded coves and a slow, unhurried pace. La Digue and Praslin in particular suit couples looking for quiet beaches, while Mahé combines beach time with more restaurants and amenities. Booking a self-contained villa or guesthouse gives couples space and privacy for a longer stay.

What does 'book direct' mean on BookNoFees?

You can message the host before booking. For a booking request, Stripe first places a card hold for the full amount; the host has 48 hours to accept, and only then is the amount captured. Instant Book is charged immediately after Stripe confirms payment. Do not transfer the booking amount directly to the host. The displayed total already includes the 3.9% cost contribution for Stripe payment fees and refunds.

Why book a Seychelles rental without commission?

BookNoFees deducts no commission from the amount set by the host. The displayed total includes a 3.9% cost contribution for Stripe payment fees and refunds, and BookNoFees earns nothing from it. Nothing is added at checkout.
